SO GOOD. I just learned the first one today. My question is why can’t I just play fiddle all day? Or replace doing things like filling up on gas, brushing my teeth, washing the dishes, wiping down the stove, sweeping, buying groceries, driving to and from school, etc, with fiddling?

I don’t know who the other people on this recording are, but this is from a session that Willie played in 1972. The recording was given to me by a generous friend in Northern California a few summers ago and for some reason I’m only just getting around to listening to this. Every track is amazing! I love this one particularly because Willie does some of those wondrous runs down the chanter in both tunes…
There are other recordings of Willie playing this same set, but most of them are with the tunes flipped. I think I like it in this order better, though.
